New story time. Feedback is appreciated. Also I don't have a name for this yet so if you can, help me name this. Also, I'm not quite sure if I should keep writing or keep it like this, so tell me what you think. (Second page: kadencewolf.deviantart.com/jou… )

The silvery snow crunched under Kole's paws. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. That's all Kole heard, all day. The sky was misty and gray, and the air was thick with moisture. He couldn't see five feet in front of his muzzle. Fog and mist, the only thing Kole had seen for days. Black, white, silver, and gray were the only colors he had seen, and they were etched deep in his mind. Kole sighed and slowed his pace, catching his breath. His ebony fur stood out in the pure white snow and gray fog. Kole exhaled, his breath visible around his dark muzzle. Whoosh. Something whizzed by his ears. Kole's velvety eyes glittered and he looked up. Some of the sky was now visible, like a long rip in the clouds. They sky was a deep gradient indigo, with a few shimmering stars. A dark shape soared between Kole and the twilight sky. Kole's tail twitched and his paws shuffled as he watched the shape circle above him. Finally... Kole thought. the fog is lifting. The thick, silver mist was slowly fading, revealing the dark purple and blue sky. The shadowy figure opened it's wings and landed on the snow near Kole. The figure was an owl, half the size of Kole. It was a female, and Kole recognized her. "Talia?" he asked, the first time he had spoken in days and his voice sounding strange. The owl nodded. "Kole." she replied. Talia's feathers were a pale tawny color, and her back and wings were dusted with a ashen gray. Her long, featherless legs bore black gloves, the tips cut off to provide space for her sharp talons. "What are you doing here?" Talia said gruffly after a long silence. "There was a mishap...a distraction." Kole answered nervously. Talia made a sound that would have been a growl if she were a wolf. "What distraction? There is only snow and fog for miles!" she screeched. Kole flinched. "Yeah. But there is no land under this ice. And sometimes the ice melts or breaks." he motioned to the ground with his paw. Talia narrowed her teal eyes into slits. "Fine. But remember, the pack is waiting. So hurry." Kole nodded. "I will. I promise." Talia nodded farewell, then flapped her large wings, unsettling powdery snow from the ground as she flew away into the night sky. Kole sighed, and began walking again. He could hear the faint echo of the ocean and the creaking of ice beneath him. His paws ached, but he knew he had to continue. So he kept walking. All night.
